Hypergeometric Outlines

Approached as outlines, these hypergeometric models aim to trace intersecting relationships beyond three dimensions, which may give ways for rethinking the in-betweens of tuning, timbre, and harmony through dynamically shifting perspectives. In an effort to unpack this further, these relationships are visualized through these models to outline and reimagine how light and shadow could be activated in such a way that movements shifting between two-, three-, and higher dimensional planes could enable modes of virtual to surface, and perhaps, for space to emerge beyond enclosures, with time appearing no longer as a unit scalar for a temporal interval.

Presented in this section are select models that were used in various compositional works to unpack such interrelationships (see Works and Research).

Models extending beyond five dimensions reference the inspiring and intricate research by Paulo Freire and Joris Moreau. With this opportunity, I would also like to acknowledge David Richter’s research and to thank them for sharing feedback.
